When people lose everything and they have nothing left to lose, they lose it. -- Gerald Celente

Tunisia, Yemen, Algeria, Albania, Jordan, Bolivia and Egypt are all verging on complete revolution.

This story explains most of what is going on.

Most of this is driven by our belligerent foreign policy in those regions and propping up corrupt regimes. Which is why you aren't hearing anything about it in the news.

In other news, we don't take care of our own soldiers (big surprise right). Especially those suffering from PTSD or other mental difficulties. For the second year in a row more soldiers took their own lives than those that were killed in combat.

Thanks for the link to the article. David and I were just discussing the lack of coverage by the media.
How did you find that essay? It was refreshing to read something that doesn't gloss over US foreign policy.

Wow, really wasn't expecting any comments. I generally get my news from 3 main sources that link me to many many others. They are:

dailypaul.com
lewrockwell.com
mises.org

also antiwar.com is excellent for worldwide coverage of conflicts.

i have also found aljazeera.net to be a great source of what is actually going on in the middle east and asia.

WOW. That's powerful. Liam watched this with me . . . good to think about our lives vs. the lives of others around the world. He's got to stay current on world events for history . . . will be interesting to bring this up in class. Thanks for keeping us aware of the world around us.
