Thank goodness its nap time!

I've noticed that the last few days I've been especially chatty. I don't know why. Maybe its because the weather hasn't been awesome and we've been cooped up in the house a little too long. It doesn't really matter why I'm chatty, just that I am. As most people know, Eric works from home. I'm constantly reminding myself that Eric is working and can't talk to me right now or watch whatever adorable thing Jack is doing. I can't seem to help myself. I find myself talking nonstop some days. Its always ridiculous, unimportant bits of information, but I can't save it for later when he's done working. Even when Eric falls into his tradition of nodding even when its completely obvious he has no idea what I'm saying...I keep talking. Friday I was in rare form. I had tons of useless information that I had to tell Eric right away. I was sure not to leave anything out. I even started to feel sick from the lack of oxygen because I had talked so much. Eventually, it was time for Jack's regular nap. Lately I've been taking advantage of this time to nap myself. I didn't realize until Friday that Eric must look forward to MY naps as much as I look forward to Jack's. For these reasons, a common sentiment in this house is...Thank goodness its nap time!

Nap time IS by far the BEST time of the day. I wish we could have it 3 times a day...at least.

This is funny because I do the EXACT same thing to Brady when he's studying or researching. I can talk and talk and not censor myself, I just talk every single time I have something on my mind no matter how stupid or unimportant. And I'm not even pregnant. The sentiment in our house "Too bad we don't have nap time"!

I have always been this way, my parents would always say Do you EVER stop talking?!? Nathan has definitely learned to tune me out over the years. And I find that my kids have taken after me! I decided this summer I am reinstating nap time for the older ones!

ya know how we always say you and brad are the same and me and eric are the same? well, brad's the one in our household who knows how to talk MY ear off. i make it very clear that i don't care what he's talking about (usually cars) but he just keeps talking. he even does it to other people, which can be a little embarassing. i just try to cut in and say, "i think they're done hearing about it!" i know, i'm rude. if i'm the one talking and i can tell someone else doesn't care, i just stop talking. i can't stand when people don't listen to me. well, i'm sitting here talking about how i don't talk people's ears off and here i am, talking yours off. done!

That's why I love the internet...if you're bored and you don't have anyone to talk to all you have to do is send a quick email or blog...or just call Taryn, she'll chat with you! :)
