Aquarium

Saturday, we had big plans to go to the Aquarium with Carrie and Amy's families. I was so excited. I really thought Jack was just gonna love it. On our drive down, we passed by lots of cows. Jack would point and laugh and make all the noises he makes when he gets excited. I thought to myself, "Wow, if he thinks seeing animals as we pass them by at 70 miles an hour is cool, he'll love to get to see things close up." My first problem was thinking that meeting at 11am was a good idea. Jack usually takes a nap around then. I thought he'd be fine because he'd be so excited to see the other kids and all the fish. He doesn't seem to want to nap when something new is around, so why would Saturday be any different? I don't know why, but it was. He looked at some of the fish and thought it was okay, but very quickly we realized how tired he really was. All he wanted to do was push his stroller around, and if you did anything to help guide it away from other kids he was about to run into he threw a fit. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience, but I will never be so naive as to think that anything is worth missing nap time.

kids taking naps is kind of how David is with eating ice cream.

you were like what, five minutes from our house, and you didn't stop by? You will have to come again when Jack is awake! I hear that the kids really like the place!

This has nothing to do with this post:

Poor little Jackers! Once he woke up he was a joy with that cell phone! p.s. for some reason I can't always post on your blog. Like it takes 5 minutes to think about posting my comment and then sometimes it doesn't actually post. I don't think it has anything to do with your blog, it must be something with my computer at work, but not like I'm doing anything important at work anyway, right. Just letting you know because I've made comments in the past that never showed up. Okay sorry this is so long. I'm embarrassed. Forgive me blogging world. Feel free to delete.

Jack looks like he still had fun and he's always cute. I still forget how unpredictable kids are even after 4 of them! I shouldn't admit that out loud- after all I should be a seasoned pro- ha!

It was still fun, but too bad he didn't sleep on the way and then wake up right in time for the aquarium! Maybe next time! It's amazing how important a nap is to the behavior of a child - wait, it's the same for grampy (i guess it's important to a child and a senior citizen - HA).
Keep having fun! Love you all! ~mom
